ELKO FASHION EXCHANGE STORES REOPENING
ELKO, NV — (May, 2019) — Elko residents are celebrating the reopening of the Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate resale stores in their community on May 31st, 2019 starting at 10 a.m.
“When we saw the response of disappointed community members when the Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate stores suddenly closed, we knew we needed to step in to reopen these stores,” said Shauna Sloan, founder of the Kid to Kid franchise. “Both our stores, Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate provide a service to families and individuals who benefit from earning money for the things they’re no longer using, and from shopping for affordable fashions and other kids’ stuff.”
Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate give new meaning to the term “Shop Local” as residents are rewarded for both selling and buying right here in town. Kid to Kid buys and sells the best things kids outgrow – including toys, baby gear, shoes, coats, and kids clothes. Families trade in the things their kids are no longer using for cash or 20% more in store credit. In addition to tens of thousands of gently used products, each store is stocking fun and unique new clothes, accessories, and toys so shoppers don’t have to turn to Amazon.
Uptown Cheapskate is an upscale fashion exchange – where residents can trade in the fashions they’re no longer wearing and walk out with cash or a new wardrobe that fits their personality and style. “It’s hard to shop online and get the perfect fit” explains head buyer Karen Westlund. Uptown buyers are trained to recognize current fashion and top brands, and to assist shoppers in finding the perfect look for an amazing price. With over 10,000 unique items to choose from, this is the place to go first when you’re looking for something new.
Leading up to the event, Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate Elko will be doing a “five days of prizes” event on their Facebook pages: Uptown Cheapskate and Kid to Kid. On May 31st, Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate, located 2072 Idaho St. in Elko will have their grand re-opening celebration starting at 10 a.m. Customers who RSVP on the Facebook event page and tag a friend for either Kid to Kid or Uptown Cheapskate will be entered to win the daily drawings – including $50 gift certificates to both stores.
Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate have been stocking up, buying the best gently used fashion apparel from local residents, and bringing in brand new fashions to supplement the offering. At the grand opening, the store’s selection will be revealed and customers will be able to shop new and like-new apparel for up to 70 percent off retail prices. Before and after the grand opening, the store will pay cash for gently used fashion brands or offer 20% more (25% at Uptown) in store credit.
