KELLER, TX—April 8, 2016—Kid to Kid Franchise System has awarded Store of the Month honors to Kid to Kid in Keller, TX. This store was selected from over 100 Kid to Kid franchise units in the US, Portugal, and Canada, and recognized for significant growth in both sales and the amount of product purchased from parents in the Keller community.
Kid to Kid pays families cash for the nice things their kids have outgrown. According to Franchise Support Director Joslin Wright, the Keller store increased buying from the public by over 60% in March. This has a significant impact on families in Keller and surrounding areas, as they recognize the benefits of recycling – both in terms of what they earn when they sell their children’s clothes, toys, and baby gear, and in the savings they experience when buying the things their kids need today.
The Keller store expanded last June and has more than doubled the space and product available for parents. Each size (infants to kid size 14) has nearly 1,000 unique items for parents to choose from as they create fashionable outfits for their kids. Most shoppers also come away with a toy or two, shoes to match their outfits, and a couple of bows for their girls. Store manager Laura Weaver explains, “Our customers are always telling us how amazed they are at the quality, the selection, and the unbelievably low prices in our store. Many of them shop multiple times a week just to see what we’ve put out new.”
In order to accommodate more parents selling their kids’ stuff, the store has put an increased emphasis on making it convenient to sell. Most sellers are in and out in about 30 minutes – with cash in hand. A large percentage choose to take payment in store credit because they earn 20% more, and they can use that money to shop for clothes and toys for their kids. Franchise vendor survey results show a 94% satisfaction rate with the selling experience. One happy customer reported, “The buying process is getting quicker”, while others reported that the girls taking in items were “friendly, helpful, and kind.” As Franchise Founder Shauna Sloan explains, “Our goal at Kid to Kid is to reward families emotionally and financially for recycling their kids’ stuff. The Keller store is doing a stellar job of providing that service to the lucky families who shop and sell at this great store.”
